There are a total of 7 highways—5 Interstate highways, 1 U.S route, and 1 state route—that exist in the city of Greenfield. All highways within the city are maintained by Caltrans.

Build history
The history of Greenfield's Interstate system dates back to the 1950s when the federal government began to invest in the construction of a network of highways across the United States. The goal of this program was to improve transportation and promote economic growth by connecting cities and states across the country. In Greenfield, the construction of the Interstate system began in the late 1950s, with the construction of the first section of what would eventually become State Route 110 (SR 110). This section of the highway was designed to connect Greenfield's downtown core with the eastern suburbs.

Over the next several decades, Greenfield's Interstate system continued to expand with the construction of several additional highways, including I-5, I-205, I-105, I-15, I-10, and U.S 101. These highways helped to connect Greenfield to other major cities and states in the region, such as San Francisco, Las Vegas, and its sister city Los Angeles. The construction of the Interstate system was not without its challenges, however. The building of the highways often required the acquisition of private land and the displacement of residents, which led to significant controversy and protests. Additionally, the construction of the highways led to the destruction of many historic neighborhoods and communities, which had a lasting impact on the city of Greenfield. Despite these challenges, Greenfield's Interstate system was a major success for the city, providing residents and businesses with improved economic growth. The highways also helped to promote tourism and made it easier for people to travel to and from Greenfield.

However, as the years passed, the increased use of the highways also led to increased traffic congestion, making the city's traffic among the worst in the region. It also caused air and noise pollution in the city. The local government and residents have taken steps to address these issues, such as promoting public transportation and encouraging carpooling.

Overall, Greenfield's Interstate system has had a significant impact on the city, both positive and negative. It has improved transportation and economic growth, but also had an impact on the environment and quality of life for residents.
Operated by the Greenfield Department of Aviation, and covering over 4 kilometers of land, GIA has non-stop flights to over 200 destinations in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania as of 2022.

GIA began as an airfield for manufacturing C-54 military transports during World War II. As one of the first airports developed after the war, GIA's innovative design pioneered concepts such as concourses, direct highway access to the terminal, jet bridges, and underground refueling systems. GIA became famous during the jet age, holding he distinction as one of the world's top five busiest airports from 1963 to 1998, reaching second place for the years of 1992-1998. Today it is the world's seventh-busiest airport, serving 73 million passengers in 2022. In 2019, GIA had 834,656 aircraft movements, averaging 2,000 per day, one of the highest in the world. GIA serves as a major hub for (WHAT AIRLINE?).

0.5.3
Initial admin planning began at the end of 0.5.3.

0.5.4
The development of the Greenfield International Airport officially started in mid 2019, with the release of the plans for Los Llanos and Rockwell to the admin team by THEJESTR11. The original airport plan was nothing more then three parallel runways and a bunch of open grass space. Admin 56515 took the lead on developing a more detailed plan for the airport and eventually ended on a 2 parallel runway configuration with a crossing angled runway. from the very beginning the goal of the structure was to create an airport that didn't conform to Minecraft's grid. This meant that terminals would be at realistic angles from each other. Much of the early planning and laying out work was done by 56515. The road systems as well as the runway work was primarily done by Admins Staples and NJDaeger. Of the three terminals, it was decided that 56515 would tackle terminal 1, Staples terminal 2, and past Admin JacobKazias terminal 3. As the project developed many others assisted in the build process, especially with the interiors of terminals and the development of the cargo center. Eventually Architect Dasky joined the build team and quickly made some important changes to the airport to make it more realistic and in line with real life airports because of his real life experience. Together, with the help of the rest of the build team, Greenfield International Airport has become one of the most impressive parts of the project.

Facilities
Terminals
Greenfield International Airport has three public terminals named Terminal 1, 2 and 3. Terminal 2 and 3 hold the majority of domestic flights and are older, being built in the 1970s and 1980s. Terminal 1 was rebuilt in 2013, replacing the majority of the terminal, keeping one terminal leg of the original 1970s building. All international flights and some domestic flights depart from Terminal 1.

History
In 1917, settlers instituted the City of Palma after neighboring Rockwell settlers built a giant oil refinery. Shops and houses were built, but was of no significant scale. Years later, the newly constructed Interstate 5 brought more vehicular traffic into the city; once bypassing the city entirely, an interchange was built in 1956 to create access. This new exit allowed interstate travelers to stop in Palma for refreshments. As a result of recent expansion, a new development was built on the eastern side of Palma with a middle school, multiple strip malls, and several duplexes and apartments. Palma was one of the most affordable places to live at the time since an oil refinery occupied much of the city. The city's west side was built in 1958 with more duplexes, a motel, and many single-family homes. In 1965, the oil refinery was abandoned after the owners failed to follow safety regulations. The abandoned refinery attracted a lot of criminals, so the City of Greenfield planned a new police and fire station for Palma. In 2016, the city dismantled the oil refinery and recent development, including Palma Altos Retirement Communities, filled vacant land the Sonora River.
It is located southeast of Downtown Greenfield and sits along the Pacific Ocean. Rockwell is named after builder RockTheVox, who passed away in 2019.

History
The area of Rockwell used to be dunes until 1907 when settlers sold a couple of acres of land on the eastern section of the Rockwell dune. Residents developed more dune sections for homes from 1907 to 1921. The Greenfield streetcar network connected to the area, and it was a prime spot of land to start real estate development. The Rockwell Cemetery was also built around this time. The cemetery is the largest in Greenfield and is still there today. A beach resort was built in 1919, though it was burned down by arsonists two years later. This event caused development to stop for three years after 1921. The park Kyle's Beach now resides where the resort once stood. It serves as a memorial for the 218 people that died that day due to the fire. In 1924, the area picked up in development once again. Roads were laid down for future real estate and dunes were slowly filled with houses. In 1936, the Rockwell Pier was constructed. Unfortunately, it was destroyed five years later in a big storm. The area was further developed until it came to a halt in 1940 due to World War II. After the war, Rockwell picked up again and expanded fast. The Rockwell pier was rebuilt, and the area continued to develop. Interstate 5 was constructed and even more expansions were created. Nightclubs and bars filled the central area and the community was one of the first beachside nightlife destinations in Greenfield.

The western section of Rockwell used to be an oil refinery, which the City of Greenfield removed in 1946 after converting the west end of the Sonora River into a canal. The now empty area was redeveloped into warehouses. In 1959, the warehouses were demolished and turned into a residential area at the request of Rockwell citizens who complained about the heavy traffic driving through the neighborhood. In 1963, they built the first beachside hotel resort since the 1919 fire. Tropicana Palms was a huge success, and over the years, the beachside from Longport Keys to western Rockwell was filled with hotels and condominiums. After massive expansion and tourism, Rockwell is now one of the biggest tourist hubs in Greenfield.
Tropicana Palms was a huge success, and over the years, the beachside from Longport Keys to western Rockwell was filled with hotels and condo buildings. After massive expansion and tourism, Rockwell is now one of the biggest tourist hubs in Greenfield.

Rockwell is a designated community located in the southeast area of Greenfield, California.

Residents developed more dune sections for homes from 1907-1921. The Greenfield streetcar network connected to the area, so it was a prime spot of land to start real estate development. The Rockwell Cemetery was also built around this time. The cemetery is the biggest in Greenfield and is still there today. A beach resort was built in 1919, but that was burned down by arsonists two years later. This event caused development to stop for three years after 1921. The park Kyle's Beach is in the location that used to be the resort. It is a memorial for the 218 people that died that day due to the fire. In 1924 the area picked up in development again. Roads were laid down for future real estate. The dunes were slowly filled with houses, and in 1936, the Rockwell Pier was constructed. Unfortunately, it was destroyed five years later in a big storm. The area was further developed until it came to a complete stop in 1940 due to the war. After the war, Rockwell picked up again and expanded fast. The Rockwell pier was rebuilt, and the area developed. Highway I-5 was constructed, and even more expansions were created. Nightclubs and bars filled the middle section, and the location was one of the first beachside nightlife in Greenfield.

The western section of Rockwell used to be an oil refinery, which the City of Greenfield took down in 1946 after they started to turn the west end of the Sonora River into a canal. The now empty area was redeveloped into a couple of warehouses. In 1959 the warehouses were taken down and turned into a residential area at the request of Rockwell citizens who complained about the heavy traffic driving through the neighborhood. In 1963 they built the first beachside hotel resort since the one that burned down. Tropicana Palms was a huge success, and over the years, the beachside from Longport Keys to western Rockwell was filled with hotels and condo buildings. After massive expansion and tourism, Rockwell is now one of the biggest tourist hubs in Greenfield.

History
The neighborhood of Rio Pueblo is named after the Rio Pueblo River, which translated in English, means "Rapid River". In the 1800s, this area was primarily used for farming and hunting. This was the case until 1928, when the area was transformed into a large real estate development, with many homes being built in the 1920s-30s. After 20 years of the prime of Rio Pueblo, during the construction of Interstate 710 in the 1950s, many homes and businesses were destroyed, and residents were relocated. This upheaval also caused "The Couf", a long standing historic hotel, to go bankrupt. This rapid transition lead to instability in the area, where crime had skyrocketed. However, during 1980s many activist groups were formed in favor of the dismantling of the controversial freeway. In 1987, plans to revitalize the historic neighborhood which had now fallen into disarray began. Large amounts of housing were built during this time, including several hundred bungalow style single family homes. The previously abandoned Couf was revitalized and restored into a large housing complex. The heavy influx of middle class families in the area, along with the rapid gentrification resulted in a dramatic decrease in crime. Other large projects in the area included a 2015 development in Rio Pueblo and in neighboring Los Llanos, including a new set of single family homes, and a large golfing complex.
In the 1950s, right after the end of World War II, a huge population boom hit the United States, causing many to want to live the American dream: a large single-family house with a garden. Los Llanos was one of these communities. Early settlers built most of the northern neighborhood in 1949-1952 and central areas from 1951-1953. The suburban developments engulfed a small town near the Greenfield city center called Los Llanos. The town wasn’t considerable and was almost demolished to make place for the complexes constructed around the city. Some shops and the iconic church remain from what used to be Los Llanos. The rest was all redeveloped into new strip malls and housing. In 1972, a large industrial plant was taken down at the request of the citizens. The City of Greenfield redeveloped the plant into a small neighborhood with several stores and a bowling alley. In 1979, a warehouse was destroyed and turned into the Los Llanos High School. This plan was a part of the Rio Pueblo redevelopment. In 2015, a new suburban community with a golf course and a YMCA was built on the Sonora River.
