	The city was found and settled around 1872 when the Greenfield area started growing in popularity, however, due to flooding issues the eastern area was not built on untill 1922 when a streetcar network was laid out from Eastern Santa Cecilia all the way to Rockwell. Around the same time a new church was built. After that some houses were built but nothing significant. In 1936 the ground was broken for a road layout in eastern Santa Cecilia. From 1936-1958 the area slowly grew, with a few houses and shops popping up here and there. In 1958 a new main road was planned, but unfortunately a bunch of houses, and the streetcar network had to be destroyed for it to take place, lots of activists tried to stop the road from getting built but unfortunately, in 1959 the new main road got laid out from the southern downtown all the way to eastern Rockwell. However, without this road the city wouldnt have been as thriving as it is today. Especially because of the recent boom of population in Greenfield. Many new houses and condos were built from the 60s till the 90s, and its now a popular tourist attraction for the city.
