Back in the 1950s, right after the war ended a huge population boom hit the USA causing many to want to live the american dream: A big single family house with a garden. Los Llanos was one of these communities. Most of the northern neighbourhood was built in 1949-1952 and the more central areas from 195-1953. The suburban developments basically engulfed a small town near the Greenfield city center called Los Llanos. The town wasn’t very big and was almost completely destroyed to make place for the developments that were being built around the town. There are still some shops and the iconic church left from what used to be Los Llanos. The rest was all redeveloped into new strip malls and housing. In 1979 a warehouse was destroyed and turned into the Los Llanos high school. This was apart of the Rio Pueblo redevelopment. In 2015 a new suburban community with a golf coarse and a YMCA was built on the Sonora River.

Los Llanos is a designated community area to the East Greenfield, California. It is located to the East of downtown Greenfield.
